Highdesert Stamper – Artistic Inkspirations

Here are some of the final pages of my little Christmas scrapbook… using the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin kit from Stampin’ UP!

There are a total of 14 pages in this book.  You can attend a class in Oct at my classroom, or you can order the kit from me. The kit will come with all the pages cut and scored, ready to put together, all the embellishments (3 sheets of stickers, plus ribbons), and the instructions. All you need to provide is the adhesive.  Contact me to order your own kit.

Got those pesky roosters all converted and loaded… so here they are. I thought I had 4 different sets, but come to find out, I have TWO of the same one.. Provencal (the middle picture)… so if there’s anyone looking for that set.. contact me. It’s for sale!!

How silly of me!! I forgot to show you what happens when Roosters or chickens get out of hand!! Chicken Stew with dumplings!!

Here’s the recipe for the Chicken & Dumplings

Chicken stew/soup:

3 breasts or 4 hindqtrs, or a whole chicken cut up: added to large pot with enough water to cover;

Add the following:

1 tbs sea salt

2 tbs poultry seasoning     2 tsp pepper

2 tbs dried basil

1 whole head of garlic chopped    1 white onion chopped

5 stalks celery chopped                    5 carrots chopped

1/2 # crimini mushrooms sliced    1 cup peas (add last 20 min)

1 # baby dutch gold potatoes (or other red rose, white rose, or yukon potatoes) cut in 1″ chunks

Bring chicken, celery, onions, garlic, herbs to a boil and boil about 1hr;

Add rest of ingredients and simmer til tender.

DUMPLINGS:

2 c flour               1 tsp salt               1 tsp baking pwd       1 tsp bak soda

2 tsp poultry seasoning                 2 tsp garlic           2 tsp ranch dressing mix

1 egg                 3 tb EVOO or other veg oil                 1 cup milk

Mix up and drop by soup spoonfuls onto boiling stew: cover and let cook at a steady boil for 10-15 min. DO NOT take the lid off while the dumplings are cooking!!  After 15 min, remove lid and serve in bowls with a dumpling on top of each serving.   Enjoy!!
