Stamping ..or Cooking…?

Ok.. I have a problem… when I was cleaning out boxes, I ran across this “thing”.. I don’t know what it is….Do you? First person to tell me what it is, will receive a card like the one I am posting next with the Lattice punch out. My daughter said it might be a really cool stamping tool!! I think it has something to do with cooking, but I really don’t know what it is. Here is the picture of it.

Ok.. now on to my card I have been laboring over. I wanted to do something with the Sizzix lattice die, and I started out to make a “monochromatic” card for the LNS Challenge this week. But it didn’t turn out to be monochromatic, as you will see.  This is what I started with>>>> the cut out…..

Next I started playing with the actual piece that comes out of this… the actual lattice.  I love blues, so wanted to use the new Thoroughly Modern paper which has the new Bermuda Bay blue as one of the designs. Sahara sand just goes with it so well… so here’s the finished card… my own design, my own creation… I amaze myself sometimes!! I didn’t case anyone on this one!!

What a gorgeous card. I need to order that die.

Your fun little gadget looks like a handle for a deep fry basket.

Hi Connie — It sure looks like a chocolate fork. They are designed to hold chocolates, fruit, nuts or candy for dipping into melted chocolate or confectionary glaze.

Oh, and I love the card too — saw it on SCS last night. I ordered the lattice last week so it’s great to have some ideas to CASE! TFS!

I love the card you created with the lattice! I had just got it, and seeing your card had me going down to my stamp cave and cracking the wrapper! When I started with it, I couldn’t remember just how you did your card- I used sahara sand and tempting turquoise, and used plaint tt behind the latice- but I wasn’t clever enough to use the cutout- if I knew how to download- or is it upload??- I’d send you a photo of my effort. I used organza ribbon under a flower of 2 smallest sizes of sizzex daisy- in turquoise and white, doubled-and put the greeting at the top of the card- I am going to try another color and use DSP and the cut out the way you did it- thanks for the inspiration!
