Books and stencils

Oct 28th, 2009 Posted in BOOKS & Boxes, Specialty Classes, WORK AT HOME | Comments Off

I was showing my stampclub how the new stencils work, by sponging/daubing Eggplant and lavender ink on the cover of a journal I had bought. I shadowed the lavender after I had already sponged on the eggplant. Then I decided that white ink would look nice on kraft, so the back got all white craft ink with the stencil. This is a very easy way to make a quick gift for a friend!!

Stencil used was Kind Thoughts Brocade

5. Round corners of Chocolate Chip textured card stock (2″ x 2″) using 3/16″ Corner Rounder punch. Punch hole in top of card stock using 1/16″ Circle punch. Thread linen thread through hole, and tie to Real Red ribbon. Adhere tag to box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
6. Adhere ornament to Chocolate Chip tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Optional box: You can use the fancy favor box die (order online) for the Bigshot instead of the supplied template.  Just fold and glue box together and decorate as above. If using really heavy cardstock, you may want to reinforce the scored lines with adhesive tape so they don’t tear when folding. I have found I have to do this with the flocked papers. Below is a picture of one using this die and the Christmas Cocoa designer paper. The fancy favor box is not quite as tall as the one made using the box template I have provided. But if you have this die, it’s a lot easier to make!  The snowflake has been covered in the clear chunky glitter.  You can order the Bigshot , and any of it’s dies just by going to my online store.

Here’s a project we made last week at my Supvr’s home at our Annual Leadership dinner. This highlights 4 of the areas Stampin’ UP! products cover. It is just missing a block for the new My Digital Studio.  This is  a good way to show your customers what can be done with SU products.
