Pumpkins from “scraps”….

I guess I should have posted this here, instead of just sending emails… so here is my version of pumpkins from scraps. I posted a while back, that when I have a lot of pieces left over from my bigshot, or just plain cardmaking, I toss them in a box, then when I don’t feel like doing much else… I punch all the spare areas with all my punches. ORANGE calls for PUMPKINS!!.. So  I had to decorate some bags and boxes. Here is a little mini tutorial of how I made my pumpkins. I did these way before I saw everyone else’s posts of how to do the pumpkins. I myself always have to attach pieces to something else for stability, so I used a punched out circle, or even a PIECE of a circle for the back.  Be sure to sponge the edges of your pumpkins to give them some shadowing. Sandi MacIver also did a tutorial.. you can view hers here..

This shows the back where I added a circle and attached the “vine”.

Front lobes showing “shadowing”. I used basic brown or choc chip a lot for shadowing on darker colors.

Next is the box I made using the #2 Bigshot box die, and the leaves die.

And the bag…. using the fancy favor bag die.

Hope you enjoyed my “mini” tutorial … go make some PUMPKINS!!!
