More scrunchy flowers on purses..

I have a project going.. to make 20 of these little purses for a local shop. I have 5 “done”, and 14 more cut out and partially done. So here’s the progress…pictures. I used various papers, mainly the sweet pea and the papers from this years Sale-a-bration for most of the flowers. Some of the flowers have the 8 petal flower from the Sizzix die Blossom party. The rest of the parts of the flower were punched using the circle scallop punch.  Enjoy..and don’t forget to leave a comment!!

The above picture is what my space looks like when punching and cutting and creating all these little gems. Then.. you have to clean it all off to start all over!!

Cards from scraps, and retiring colors….

Sandi MacIver was doing some cards using scraps off her stamping table. I didn’t have any boxes to tear up, but I did have a lot of bits and pieces of things I had enbossed, cut out, punched out, and used in some of my demos to friends and customers. So I took one of my extra stamped (already stamped) pieces and some of the other pieces I had run through the polka dots embossing folder and “distressed” my card pieces. Added some of my sizzlit leaves (have a box of leaves and pieces cut from all kinds of scraps), and continued to build my card.  So here’s my “bits and pieces and scraps recycled card”… Colors are Rich razzleberry, Sage shadow (leaves, mat), always artichoke and some birds from some retired DSP scraps.

A Circle purse…. out of paper….

A friend of mine came over to look at the bigshot and get one for her daughter… so while she was here we watched a video by Angie Judda  Kennedy.  She was showing how to make what I call “grunge flowers” and a cute little purse. Mary and I had to try making the purse, and I had made the flowers before but not with these same punches and dies she had used. So we went out to my stamp room and I created her a purse and a card to go with it.  Here’s my version of Angie’s cute little purse!  If you click on Angie’s name above, you can watch her video also!  Thanks Angie for sharing your wonderful video with us!  I used scraps on my table for some of the die cut flowers, and the Sweet Pea designer paper for all the rest of the flowers and the main purse. Mary had me put a tag on the purse for her. So my purse may look a bit different.

Matching card: I used leftovers from cutting the circles for the front of the card. The flowers are cut from Melon Mambo card stock.
