ATC trading……

I don’t know how many of you have ever “traded” Artists Trading cards… They are small, compact, and easy to make or can be very “tedious” as the one I’m going to show you.  They were orignally started in the 1700′s as miniature portraits that were sold.  During the Impressionist age, Artists cards were traded to study each other art styles and techniques.  If you’d like to read about their history… here’s a link. They’re very interesting.  I have traded Oriental style ATC’s,  “vintage” style, and now we’ve done a 44 color Stampin’ UP! style. I will be posting all of the Color Families over the next few weeks, on Mondays… so come back and check to see the next batch!     Enjoy.

Bashful Blue colors

Here’s the sketch for this week…. brought to you by  Kelli Waters.  If you get lost, you can start over at Angela Walters blog.

Here’s the sketch:

Here’s my rendition of this sketch:  I used the new Hostess stamp “Because I Care”. You can earn this set free with a qualifying workshop starting in July.

Cardstock and ink is new Early Espresso, flowers colored with the new Cherry Cobbler. Ribbon is the retiring Chocolate chip wide striped grosgrain. Button is from the “retiring” latte collection.

Because I Care hydrangea

Well… guys… after looking at the colors in the daytime… I really didnt’ like the Cherry Cobbler and Espresso.. though with some other flower I think they would have been fine.. so I went back to my work table and tore off the front (yes, I destroyed the red) and did a remake… here’s my remake… with Marina Mist and  the Espresso, and Pear Pizazz on the leaves.. So what do you think of this one?

ATC SWAP

Here are two of my ATC cards for our swap

This one is the Tropical Party from the summer min, using the new Pear Pizazz “in color”

Are you old enough to remember these types of eraser?? This is from Puns from the past stamp set.

I thought the new Peach parfait (new in color) was perfect for the eraser part.

Remember, they used to spin around!
