Metal and Paper EMBOSSING….

Today was my birthday, so I was determined to do something for myself. I usually spend all my stamping time making cards for classes or for challenges or for this blog. So I just received some metal sheets from (Monica Weaver (addalittledazzle) and wanted to try one of her free tutorials I had seen on her blog. She just lives up the road from Albuquerque in a little town near Taos. I haven’t had the opportunity to go visit yet, but I plan on getting up there, maybe before the snows hit. She does a lot of metal embossed sheets with her projects. They really do put the zazz in Pizzazz!!   So here is my version of her post it note holder!   I couldn’t make just one.. I had to make 2, one in Black and one in Red. I substituted the red grosgrain ribbon and the new cream victoria lace for the red taffeta she used in her example. Enjoy…   I had to do a strictly paper version also, just for fun. But I do love the metal version so much better!! Just be careful when you’re working with the metal sheets, they are SHARP!!  .…and yes… the little tiny mini gel pen is also covered in the metal embossing!! There is a FREE TUTORIAL for this very book on Monica’s blog!!

Metal cover on Red

Paper embossed cover on red

Can you see the difference the metal makes!!  The paper embossing is not near as striking as the metal.  Come back soon!!
