Here is the sketch for this week’s challenge.

I chose to follow the sketch pretty close this week and not mix it up like I usually do.. :) So here is my card, and some other pictures showing all the “bling” I added. My hanging ornaments are 3 different textures: 1 is Metal-embossed, 1 is Designer paper punched, and the 3rd is what I call a “snowflake” punched from regular cardstock then all of them “blinged” up a bit more with some glitter paper and rhinestones. Enjoy!!

Close up..

More Jolliest trees

I had borrowed a friend’s stamp to make some Christmas cards. Here are some more of those cute little easy cards.. using up some of my retired organdy ribbons…. heated to scrunch them up some, then scrunched up more when applied to the card.

I also used some of the smooch spray over the front of the card to go with the yellow. Tree is embellished with dazzling details and some crystal effects.

Here is another color version, using paper and ribbon instead of just ribbon. If you want to make some quick cards.. here’s the answer!! Stamp the image, color it with a few markers, add some paper and ribbon trim, spritz it and let it dry!!

I got some of the new Frostwood Lodge design paper in and had to make a card using it….so decided to use the sketch from Mary Fish’s PPA weekly challenges. Here is this week’s sketch

I love the Winter post stamp set, so used the reindeer, post mark, postcard greeting and snowflakes to embellish my card.

I used some of the diamonds that end up as residue after punching out the snowflakes for the corners, a Triple punch flower and bold glimmer brad to add the extra bling. Ribbon is Real Red satin. The reindeer were stamped in Early Espresso, the sides were sponged with Bashful Blue. Blue mat is Marina Mist, layered over the Frostwood Lodge paper which is the blue and red piece. There is also  a green and red plaid piece in the pack. I hope you get some inspiration from my card and go try your hand using this sketch. I have another card using the same sketch which will be posted on Monday. This was a standard size A2 card.

Supplies: Winter Post stamp set; Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Read Red, Whisper White, Marina Mist;

Designer paper: Frostwood Lodge;

Accessories: Silver Glimmer paper, Bold Glimmer Brads, Triple flower punch, Snowflake punch, Real Red Satin ribbon, sponges, Tombow mulit purpose glue

Note: the top curved part at the tope of the card in the picture is actually the back of the card, I opened the card up and laid it down to take the picture..it’s really not an additional “embellishment” of the card.
