Here are all the goodies the gals got to make!

First is the Halloween book

Next, a set of boxes

And then a few cards:

And finally a Treat Bag from a std lunch bag:

They all did a wonderful job on their projects!! Sometimes I throw in an extra project for the gals to make… like the Halloween scrapbook they made this time. So now they’re asking.. WHEN’S THE NEXT PROJECT CLASS!?!?!?

Quick Gift bags…..Christmas Classics

Is the Holiday season creeping up on your too fast? I know this time of year, before I know it, the Holidays are here and I have NOTHING DONE!  Here’s a real quick and cute gift bag you can make for those last minute decorations or parties.

If you have a Bigshot….there’s no limit as to the things you can create!! Get the Fancy Favor long die and cut out some cute “gift bags” using the Jolly Holly Designer paper. That way every bag can be a little bit different!  Use the Christmas Classic stamp set for the HOLLY, or even the ornament or tree to decorate with a piece of linen thread or maybe some of the new seam binding (found in the mini flyer). Stamp a sentiment and punch out with the Modern label punch, add a handle with the natural hemp twine, and some “berries” with red brads! Add some colorful tissue paper and you’re all set!

All these items are available from your local Stampin UP demonstrator (me)…so you can email me, call, or ORDER right here ONLINE!

Bats and Witches turn into leaves……

What do you do when you have a bunch of cut pieces from a card class left over? I always cut some extras in case someone needs a piece to replace one they messed up, or dropped on the floor and can’t be found, or in case an extra stamper shows up… SOooooo.. I usually end up with all these little project boxes with bags of extra pieces for a specific card. They NEVER seem to get made up!!  This week I decided to challenge myself and make an entirely different card using the pieces left over from my Halloween cards the ladies did last week.  I’ve been wanting to do something with French Foliage, and these colors lend themselves nicely to fall….so that’s the stamp set I picked.  I had some of my “distressed faux dsp” paper left..so started laying out a similar design.  But I had to stamp the waterspots, and leaves all over… and see where it went from there.. I took the white and naturals pieces of card stock I had stamped the witches feet and bats on, and stamped leaves instead.

I laid out the  pieces and ribbon to see how it looked..here were the original images….

Now here’s how I changed some things..

I ended up not using the razzleberry piece from the spooky words, but substituted a scrap of soft suede to go under the french words. I spritzed all the different pieces with the gold smooch spray. It shows up much better in person… just doesn’t pick up well with the camera.  Here I added some more pieces…. (you can see the gold smooch in this next picture)… I love using that stuff…it keeps running out though!

Then I finally stamped some more leaves and cut them out….never have enough leaves….

I couldn’t decide if I liked the pumpkin leaves or all neutral colors… so I did one card with each….

So tell me what you think?? I did manage to use up most all the cut pieces…still have a couple stray razzleberry strips, but I’m sure I’ll find something for them, or they’ll go into the scrap box!! I still may go back and play with the position of the 3 leaves some more.. maybe cluster them closer together or something… I did all this while waiting for my little dog to go outside for a while.. Funny..when it’s warm, we have to nudge him to go outside sometimes, but let it SNOW….and he has to go ROMPING through the white stuff!!
