Creative-Sketches CS34H Challenge

May 26th, 2011 Posted in Challenges, SKETCHES, Wedding | one comment »

This week on Creative-Sketches we have a SKETCH combined with a Holiday/Celebration challenge

Here is the sketch

Here is my WEDDING Card I made for this challenge

Here is what’s on the inside

Everything was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock, and matted with Basic Black. And here’s a close up of the flowers… I used gold embossing powder with the flowers from Eastern Blooms and fussy cut them out, combined them with some gold flowers punched from brushed gold cardstock with the itty bitty flower punch and the Boho Blossoms punch, with a gold brad for the center. Ink was crumb cake with the scroll from Hope and Strength stamp set. The inside sentiment is from Word Play.

NOTE: I have listed some retired things on ebay found here: WINDY007

Celebrate Happiness……

What do you do when you have an anniversary??? I think you celebrate happiness together… so I made these cards for two of our MWS sisters who were celebrating their wedding anniversaries this month. One has Pretty in Pink and the other has Blushing bride ribbon on them. Both have the blushing bride cardstock…so you can mix and match our ribbon! Enjoy.

The ROYAL Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton

Apr 28th, 2011 Posted in Daily Post, Wedding | 2 comments »

I know a lot of people will probably either stay up and watch the Royal wedding, or record it on their DVRs.  I had to look up some history on the family as my family on my father’s side came from England. I was curious as to WHY Queen Elizabeth II signs her name “Elizabeth II R”.  Her birth name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary…. So I am asking… (without anyone looking it up)… DO YOU KNOW WHY Queen Elizabeth signs her name that way??  If you leave me a comment and get it right, I will select a name from the correct answers and make a special card in honor of the Royal Wedding and send it to the winner. I have to wait to see the wedding to design the card, using the colors from the wedding, and flowers they are using in the flower arrangements.

I just read this…. The second-most closely guarded secret of the royal wedding is out: At least some of Kate Middleton‘s bridal party will be walking down the aisle at Westminster Abbey wearing dresses by British designer Nicki Macfarlane.

I can’t post any pictures here of the Royal Coat of Arms, but here’s a link to see the different Coats of Arms and how they have changed.

Have a wonderful day… and I hope you get to watch some History in the making….. the Royal Wedding. I had to add this link.. for E! online.. they are broadcasting live from London, the Royal Wedding.
