I had to do something special for my Sunday stamp class today..(my.. thought it was still Saturday).. so I used the Petal die and cut out DSP to make these cute little pockets. I couldn’t get to the main system , so I took a pic with my phone and emailed it to me.. didn’t turn out too bad!! So if you’re coming to stamp class today.. you’ll get one of these!!  Ghirardelli hazelnut chocolates included!!

Ingredients:

Paper: DSP Sending Love, rose red cs, real red cs, pretty in pink cs, white cs (stamped with a wheel)

Sizzix: Petal die, cupcake sizzlit, Embossed  heart sizzlit

Accessories: Tombow dual use glue

I had a scrap I had wheeled with two colors and used it as one of the sizzlit hearts.. since the colors went well with the pockets. You just fold 3 of the petals in, glue them with the tombow glue (the glitter on the Sending Love paper makes it hard to stick with just snail adhesive), then decorate as desired. I had punched out hearts with the new embossed heart sizzlit, so they were the embellishments, along with some flowers from the cupcake sizzlit diecut.

Makes it worth it to come to class!! I feed my students CHOCOLATE!!

Original Card I cased

This past weekend was our monthly stamp club class. I cased a card from Andrea using the Polka Dots and Punches Saleabration (SAB) set. I gave my stampers the option of stamping the hearts, as in Andrea’s original card, or using any of the other designs (flower, 5 petal flower, scallop swirl design). I have included a sample of 3 different designs so you can see the difference. All are very pretty and can fit any ocassion.

Valentine Lip Gloss card

Valentine Lip Gloss card

Here are Robyn’s directions:

Lip Gloss Holder Card Directions:
There isn’t anything “official” that I have, I do a lot of eye-balling, but the dimensions and score lines for the card are as follows:
Cardstock base: 5 7/8″ X 3 1/2″ scored at 2 1/2″ and 3 1/4″
Lip gloss slits are 1 1/4″ long (very important as they will fall through if bigger), you will need 2 of these slits. I just eye-balled it as far as where to start the first one, and how far apart to make them, but the measurements for mine are at 1 1/2″ and 2″ from the top of the base. Also, important is to cut into the right panel (or back of card) versus into the left panel, as this will cut into the front of your card.
I just eye-balled the ribbon holder slit as well. As long as you have both lined up to match, placement really doesn’t matter. Mine are at 1 1/2″ from the top. Embellish as desired.
