Monday I had a retired sale on all my inks, papers, and some stamp sets for my customers. Those who came had the opportunity to make a little gift card.
I love the new stamp sets in the Mini and the new catty. I designed the card using Bouquet Bunch so they could use some of the new in colors to color the flowers and vase. The base of the card was stamped with En Francais, over stamped with With all my Heart, both in So Saffron, then the matt was created with the new Scallop border sizzlit rectangle using the new Daffodil Delight cardstock. They used the different in color markers and some of the newer colors to color their flowers and vase. Ribbon is the new 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon in Daffodil Delight. They also had the choice of using the new Marina Mist and various blues to make the same card. After everyone was gone, I took all the pieces left over and modified the design which will be posted tomorrow!!

I had some of my customers (friends) come over and we made the Card Organizer Book from Andrea Walford’s designs. They took quite a bit longer than usual… we tend to sit and chit chat a lot.. but the books when done were gorgeous. Here is my friend Connie (the other Connie) proudly sporting her book she made for her Mom’s birthday. Her mom is in her 80′s… but it’s her DAD who always wants to know… “HOW DID YOU DO THAT?”…..I asked if he had a secret passion to do paper crafting…. she said.. no, but he used to play the piano nicely…
The gals had to “paint” their birds and branches for the front…and my tempting turquoise craft ink refill was on back order …. so I mixed Tempting Turg, and Baja Breeze reg. refills with white acrylic paint to get two nice complementary blues for the bird and it’s wings.
