I’ve made you a Halloween “Frugal” Scrapbook

This month is SCRAPBOOK time! I don’t make a lot of scrapbooks, as I don’t have many pictures to put in them. I have LOTS of my daughter’s little dog…. you’d think he was a grandson or something.. With  the economy the way it is, people aren’t spending a lot on “luxury” items, so I have made a “FRUGAL  half-size scrapbook”.  This one is made all of cardstock, no binder to put it into. So your only cost in making something similar is the cost of the cardstock, some inks, existing stamps from your Stamp Stash,  any embellishments you might have around your craft room, and the 3 rings to hold all the pages together…and oh yes.. a  MAGNET to close it shut.

I am having a Halloween Card/Gift class this week, so I thought I’d let the gals make one of these… so my theme is Halloween. You can make one of these quickie scrapbooks in an afternoon and make it ANY THEME you desire! So if you need a quick gift for a party, anniversary, etc… give it a try. It’s amazing what you can find in drawers once you start digging for things to decorate your book.

First the COVER: The right flap is held shut with a little strip of magnet. It only takes about 1″ of magnet on both sides of the flap to hold the book shut. I used to hunt all over town for magnets before SU came out with this wonderful pack of magnet sheets. You get 3-  12″ long sheets to a pack.

Here’s a closer view of the cover and side flap >>>

Inside the cover is a couple of pages for you to write some notes on what the event might be….Halloween party, trick or treating, school party, Masquerade ball, etc.

Each section has a cover page, followed by 4 pages for pictures. Here’s Section I:

Then on to SECTION 2:

And finally SECTION 3:

Buy 3, get one free>>>>>DESIGNER PAPERS!!

What do you use Designer papers for?? Glad you asked…. I love using them as backgrounds… for my cards, books and other objects. Sometimes I need something more than just a stamped image on the project, or a subtle print to frame the stamped image.  Here I’ve used some from our Nautical Expedition collection as a base for my little book pages.

Here are some of the other pages inside my fold up journal/book

Each set of pages is similar but different. Using designer papers for the color bases, makes it easy to create a quick little book. If you would like directions on how to make this book, place a $50 online order including a pack of the Nautical Expedition Designer paper and I will send you the instructions for free!!  If you would like to order a kit to make this book you can do so here. Kits will include instructions plus supply list and all components necessary to make this book, excluding adhesives. You can also order just the instructions to make this mini scrapbook. Instructions will be emailed to you in a PDF file. Colors for pages may vary among kits, but they will be matched up.

Order your Kit(s) here: Price for kit includes shipping costs. There is no shipping cost for instructions only.
